Pleiades International Music Competition
Thoughts on the Pleiades
For many years, Raracle Japan, the executive committee of the Pleiades International Music Competition, has been working with young people in educational settings to promote world harmony and world peace through music. Until now, our activities have focused on piano, but we hope to further the prosperity of music as a whole and make performances of all instruments more accessible. We have decided to hold a completely new style of competition, which will judge seven categories simultaneously, something that has never been done before.
We believe that music is a universal language, and that enjoying music can bring peace to the entire world. The seven notes of the musical scale "Do-Re-Mi-Fa-So-La-Si" represent the seven continents of the world, and with "7" as the keyword, this event will be held in seven venues and seven categories. Based on the keyword "7," the event was named after the image of the seven stars, "Pleiades."
The event will begin in 2025, and is positioned as a memorable year for praying for world peace through music.
We hope to make this a meaningful event together with you all.
We look forward to your participation.
